Tampa Startup Lands $1.25M Air Force Contract for Water Filtration Tech

The U.S. Air Force, through its innovation division AFWERX, has awarded Genesis Systems a $1.25 million contract to develop advanced filtration systems designed to safeguard potable water supplies from contamination in challenging environments. This contract aims to enhance the reliability of water sources under extreme conditions, reflecting a commitment to innovative solutions for military needs.

Genesis Systems, a pioneer in renewable water technology, secured the contract to develop chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) filtration technologies. These cutting-edge technologies will be integrated with their atmospheric water generation (AWG) and renewable water-from-air (RWA) systems, which extract water from ambient air. These systems are already utilized by various branches of the military to meet their critical water supply needs.
