Tampa International Sees Dramatic Rise in Summer Travelers

Tampa International Airport (TPA) experienced a significant increase in summer passengers, with nearly 2 million people passing through the airport in August alone. TPA served over 1.91 million total passengers in August, representing a 9.9% rise from August 2023. Additionally, the airport welcomed 124,061 international passengers, a 28.2% jump compared to the previous year.

July Continues the Growth Trend

In July, TPA reported serving more than 2.13 million total passengers, marking a 5.5% growth compared to July 2023. The airport also accommodated 135,889 international travelers, up 19.6% year-over-year. This consistent growth demonstrates TPA’s expanding role as a critical hub for both domestic and international travel.
