Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Returns to Tampa, Without Animals

via ringling

For many, the circus is a beloved childhood memory full of wonder and excitement. But in recent years, concerns about animal welfare have put a damper on the once-thriving industry. In response to these concerns, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus announced that they would be retiring all their elephants by 2018 and eventually bring the shows back without any live animals. Just in time for the new year, Tampa is welcome to witness the return of the circus without animals.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is coming to Tampa on Jan. 5-7 at Amalie Arena. Promises to take audiences on a unique, intergalactic adventure. Without live animals, the focus of the show shifts towards the performers, who showcase their incredible acrobatics and stunts. Expect to see performers defy gravity while “floating” through the air, and gravity-defying routines that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
